Rajen is the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Endy, Canada’s leading online mattress brand.
A serial entrepreneur and investor, Rajen is also Founder & Chairman of the RJR Group, which builds its own incubated companies and invests in startups across a variety of industries, including consumer technology, health and wellness, retail, IoT, and eCommerce. Rajen is a board member and/or lead investor/early advisor to venture backed Instawork, Hologram (formerly Konekt Data), Cedar, SpotHero, Classpass, and Exact Media, amongst 15+ RJR portfolio companies.
Rajen is best known as a Co-Founder of Groupon International via his company Citydeal. Citydeal was acquired by Groupon prior to their IPO in 2011, and remains Groupon's largest acquisition to date. Post acquisition, he aided in taking the company public (NASDAQ: GRPN), leading international growth and went on to found and build Groupon Goods and head Global Partnerships as the company's Chief Dealmaker and SVP, before stepping down in 2015 to focus on his other ventures, while remaining an advisor to Groupon.
He has served as the youngest ever Trustee on the Chicago Architecture Foundation Board, and on the Executive Advisory Boards of the Canada-US Business Council and Techweek.
The Priya and Rajen Ruparell Foundation is a major contributor to education, the arts, women empowerment initiatives and needs of low-income children.
