Joanna Griffiths is the founder, CEO and inventor of Knixwear, one of the fastest-growing companies domestically and globally in the intimate apparel space. Knixwear launched in the winter of 2013, and four short years later the brand has become a leader in active intimate apparel. Their growing product line is now sold online through www.knixwear.com and in over 500 retail locations across North America. Knixwear holds the record for the most-funded fashion project in Kickstarter history, as well as the most-funded women’s project, with over $1.6 million in product pre-sales for their 8-in-1 Evolution Bra.
Griffiths holds an MBA with distinction from INSEAD, currently the top-ranked MBA program in the world, where she won the Business Venture Competition and the Women’s Award for Entrepreneurship – securing the initial capital to start the business. Knixwear is a finalist in the prestigious EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017 Ontario Awards program for emerging businesses.
Always consumer-focused, Griffiths has over 10 years of marketing and PR experience. She has worked for Universal Music, the Toronto International Film Festival, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and was director of business development for the award-winning social recommendations startup bre.ad. In her former life as an entertainment publicist, Griffiths worked with some of the biggest names in music, film and television.
